Dear Families,

Limestone District School Board continues to work around the clock to restore access to our network and digital resources for students and staff. Our teams are collaborating closely with cybersecurity experts throughout this process and will continue to do so for as long as necessary.

We are pleased to inform you that some key services are beginning to come back online. The restoration of services is a gradual process and will continue throughout the day today and into early next week.

As part of the process, all LDSB student accounts have been locked and students will be receiving a new password from their teachers or administrators. Starting today, students in virtual school and/or who are taking eLearning courses will be prioritized.  This process will be expanded to other students as we move through today and into the start of next week.  All students will test their new login to regain access to available online services.

Current Status:

  • Student and staff access to the internet is working with LDSB devices.
  • With their new password, students can access some digital resources, such as MindsOnline (D2L) and some other digital learning tools. Microsoft 365 continues to be accessible to students.

Reporting Student Absences: For today (Friday), please continue to call your school directly to report student absences or if you need to contact a staff member. As some schools have had phone lines impacted, please refer to this list of contact information for each school’s contact phone number: limestone.on.ca/network-disruption-update.

Thank you for your ongoing patience and support as we work to restore all services. We will provide additional updates to families as soon as new information becomes available.

Thank you,

Limestone District School Board
