Food Share

Hi everyone,

We’re excited to share that registration for your school’s lunch program is now open!

Families can sign up using the following link: https://foodsharingproject.store/

This is a free weekly meal program, with deliveries to your school every Friday. Each meal includes a main item, milk, and fruit. Menus are available on the website, and all meal options are suitable for halal diets. Vegetarian, plant-based, and gluten-free options are also available.

The deadline for families to register is April 24th by midnight. Registration is a one-time process for the entire term. Due to the scale of the program, we are unfortunately not able to add students after the deadline, so please encourage all interested families to register before then.

Students are welcome to sign themselves up, or staff can assist with registration (with student consent), as long as dietary preferences are known. While the program is free, families also have the option to contribute toward the cost of meals or pay on a sliding scale.

The first week of meals will begin the week of May 4th, with your first delivery on Friday, May 8th.

If you have any questions about the meals or run into any issues with registration, please reach out to me at volunteer@foodsharingproject.org.

Thank you,

Noor-Ul-Huda

Accepting Donations for the Cozy Closet Swap

Ready to clear out those winter closets? We are collecting donations for next year's Cozy Closet Swap!

In the fall, Central hosts an annual Cozy Closet Swap, making kids outdoor clothing and sports gear available to Central families free of charge! In preparation, we are looking for donations of gently-used outdoor clothing and sports gear. This is a great way to do some spring cleaning, reduce waste, and reduce the stress and costs of outfitting our rapidly-growing kids!

There are two ways to donate: you can send donations to school with your children or drop off donations on the porch of 6 Patrick Street anytime. If you have questions you can reach Brooke, who is collecting donations, at 613-929-1265.
